Researchers, stakeholders and policy-makers from all over Europe gathered in Malmö for the Seminar "The ESPON Knowledge Base as Potential for Territorial Analysis and Policymaking at Regional Level".

ESPON has recently published "Territorial Observation No.2”. This publication is looking into Territorial Trends in Accessibility in Europe and its regions. The aim is to provide updated facts to policy makers engaged with regional competitiveness and territorial cohesion for their policy development process.

Calls for Proposals and Expression of Interests will be launched on 16 September 2009. The available budget is 14.910.000 Euro covering up to 31 new ESPON projects. Participation of private partners is now possible. The deadline for applying is 11 November 2009. Get involved and participate!

In order to support the launch of the Calls for Proposals and Expression of Interests, the ESPON 2013 Programme invited for an Information Day on 16 September 2009 in Brussels. More than 230 participants attended the event.

A second call for expression of interest for the Knowledge Support System is open. The deadline is 12 February 2009.

Three new calls for tenders have been published: (1) Capitalisation Strategy, (2) Corporate Identity and Lay-out , (3) Webservice and IT Solutions.
