El passat 23 de novembre de 2021 es va celebrar a Barcelona el seminari “El paper de les ciutats i les àrees metropolitanes en la política de cohesió: reptes per al període 2021-2027”, organitzat per l'Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona i acollit per l'Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). 

Durant la sessió es van presentar els principals resultats del projecte ESPON “METRO - El paper i les perspectives de futur de la política de cohesió en la planificació de les àrees metropolitanes i les ciutats”. 

El seminari va comptar amb la participació de membres del projecte METRO, entre ells la coordinador d’ESPON, representants de les àrees metropolitanes de Barcelona i Torí, investigadors de l'IERMB i del Politècnic de Torí, directius i tècnics d’ajuntaments i de l’AMB, i investigadors i estudiants de relacions internacionals. 

On 23 November 2021 was held in Barcelona the seminar “The role of cities and metropolitan areas in the Cohesions Policy: Challenges for the period 2021-2027” organized by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area and hosted by the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI). 

During the session were presented the main results of the ESPON project “METRO - The role and future perspectives of Cohesion Policy in the planning of Metropolitan Areas and Cities”. 

The seminar had the participation of the METRO project stakeholders, including ESPON, representatives of the metropolitan areas of Barcelona and Torino, researchers from the IERMB and the Polytechnic of Torino, public managers and officers from metropolitan and local authorities, and international relations researchers and students.
