Berlin, 30 October 2012 - The ESPON SCALES Project invites to its final event “ESPON serving transnational co-operation: shaping transnational spatial development based on territorial knowledge”. The seminar addresses experts interested in transport, innovation and climate.

The seminar will start with presentations from different ESPON projects that deal with the topics transport, innovation and climate. Several actors will discuss ideas with the audience on how to use ESPON results for shaping the INTERREG B programmes.

During the last seminar session, a group of different ESPON actors will reflect on conclusions to be drawn from the transnational experience for the ESPON 2020 programme.

The Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) organises the seminar within the framework of the ESPON project SCALES - Breakdown and capitalisation of ESPON results on different scales. The BBSR is working on this project together with Luxembourg, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria and Liechtenstein.
